What information this site handles, why, for how long, and how you can ask us about it.

This policy explains how Frosted Lantern Works, published by A Maps & Graphics Co (“we”, “us”), handles personal information when you visit frostedlanternworks.com. We are an editorial publisher. We do not sell personal information, we do not show advertising on this site, and we do not build profiles of readers.

Cookies and browser storage
This site does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. It does not write anything to your browser’s local or session storage. Because there is nothing optional to consent to, we do not show a cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Google Fonts and other third-party requests
Our pages load web fonts from Google Fonts (operated by Google). When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers to download the font files, and in doing so it shares your IP address and basic browser information with Google. Google states that it uses this data to deliver the fonts and to keep the service working. You can read Google’s own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. If you block these requests, the site still works and falls back to fonts already on your device.
Apart from fonts, the site does not load scripts, embeds, social media widgets or advertising from third parties.
Service providers
We use a web hosting provider to serve the site, and an email provider to receive messages sent to hello@frostedlanternworks.com. They process data only as needed to provide those services. If we later connect the newsletter to a mailing service, we will name it here before sign-up goes live.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for payment details, government identifiers or health information.
- We do not operate user accounts or logins.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Legal bases
- Legitimate interests: running a secure website and replying to messages you send us.
- Consent: any future newsletter, once it is connected. You will be able to withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: keeping limited records where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. California residents may also request details of the categories of information collected; we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email hello@frostedlanternworks.com. We will respond within the period required by law, normally within 30 days, and may ask you to confirm your identity. We do not charge for reasonable requests.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we keep the amount of personal data we hold to a minimum. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
